CRC Elite Highlights
Competing at the Highest Levels
CRC Elite athletes have qualified to the Olympic Trials in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024. Team members have qualified to the USATF Track & Field National Championships both indoors and outdoors.
Jim Jurcevich, pictured above, set the standard as our first Olympic Trials qualifier.
A History of Big Finishes
Team members have won races ranging from the mile at the Drake Relays to our hometown Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon.
Christina Murphy has won the Columbus 10K and Columbus Marathon, along with qualifying for two Olympic Trials marathons.
The CRC Elite Record Book
As runners, we love to chase fast times. The athletes within CRC Elite have put up strong results over the past two decades, including on the track with a 3:58 men's mile (Jake Edwards) and a 2:06 women's 800m (Rachel Weber). On the roads, James Ngandu, Molly Bookmyer, and Sakiko Minagawa have dominated the record book.
James Ngandu set CRC Elite records from the road 5k (13:57) to the marathon (2:10:17).
Supporting Local Athletes
The Columbus Running Company is proud of our local running community, and one of our greatest highlights is watching local athletes rise through the ranks, like Sakiko Minagawa who ran for Dublin Scioto High School and then The Ohio State before joining CRC Elite post-collegiately.
Sakiko Minagawa has competed at two Olympic Trials and is a Columbus Marathon champion.
