Meet Grace
At The Ohio State University, I competed in XC/Track but my path was far from smooth. I faced challenges with low energy availability (LEA) and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), which sidelined me but ultimately fueled my passion for helping athletes like you train smarter, recover better, and perform at your peak.
Today, through my private practice, GracesGrit Nutrition and Fitness Solutions, I specialize in evidence-based strategies for athletes of all abilities. Whether you're chasing a personal record or simply want to feel stronger on your runs, I’m here to support you with:
- Weekly Nutrition Tips delivered straight to your inbox.
- 1-on-1 Coaching: Tailored programs to match your unique goals.
- Group Coaching: Foster camaraderie and accountability while receiving expert guidance.
Bio & Credentials
Grace Thomas is a highly experienced and credentialed Registered Dietitian and Specialist in Sports Nutrition with a comprehensive background in both nutrition and sport-specific personal training. Her passion for nutrition was sparked early in life, but it was her experience as a Division I athlete at The Ohio State University that truly solidified her understanding of its critical role in performance, recovery, and overall well- being. During her collegiate athletic career, Grace faced significant challenges, including low bone density, dietary restrictions, and the effects of low energy availability (LEA), which led to a diagnosis of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S). These obstacles forced her to sit out from training and competition, but they also became the catalyst for her journey into the field of sports nutrition. Drawing on the difficult lessons learned, she developed a deep commitment to helping others navigate similar challenges and achieve peak performance through evidence-based nutrition strategies.
Grace earned her Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from The Ohio State University, where she gained extensive hands-on experience as a Sports Nutrition Intern. She had the privilege of working with a diverse range of OSU athletic teams, including Football, Men’s Ice Hockey, Field Hockey, Dance, and Synchronized Swimming, among others. Through these experiences, she honed her expertise in performance nutrition, with a focus on individualized assessment, targeted nutrition interventions, injury prevention, and sports-specific food service management. At her private practice, GracesGrit Nutrition and Fitness Solutions, Grace offers a wide range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Grace is committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care, using the latest research and evidence-based practices to empower her clients to achieve their personal best, both on and off the field. Grace’s mission is to guide individuals of all ages and athletic abilities in optimizing their health and performance through tailored nutrition and fitness solutions.
